10 reasons why you should consider Volvo’s XC60

I recently had the opportunity of reviewing Volvo’s XC60. I was thrilled, this was my first car review… I’m hoping it isn’t my last. To be honest I always had a perception of Volvo and never considered it when shopping for cars but all that changed once I experienced the brand for myself. This has taught me.. Never Ever Judge a book by its cover, sometimes there are surprises waiting for you. I will be doing my review of the brand in 2 different posts because honestly one post just isn’t enough to give you all the important information.

This has to be one of the easiest reviews for me because I don’t have to sit here and think about what I want to type. I already know why I love the car and hence I decided to make a list. I’m in love with this car and hoping that they will choose me as their Mom Ambassador. *Hint Hint Volvo* 😉 ..!

10 reasons why you should consider Volvo’s XC60:

1. Child Lock

It’s so annoying when you realise that you sitting on the side that has child lock and you have to wait for someone to open for you…most of the time they forget about you.. sniff.. This happens to me all the time..

With Volvo the Child Lock access is available within the car. There is no need to get out of the car and lock it manually in the rear doors. You can handle this feature from the driver’s seat. Big plus for me.

2. Active High Beam

This feature really wowed me! Talk about intelligent driving. The car automatically adjusts the lights and “follows” the cars in front so it doesn’t dazzle the drivers.

3. Side Mirrors

The side mirrors can be adjusted so that they move down automatically when going in reverse and goes back to position when driving off again.

4. Radar controlled cruise control

Speed can be set but it automatically adjusts to the speed of the car in front of you, if the speed of that car is less than the set speed.

5. Driver collision warning

If u drive up to a car too fast, it will warn you to brake with red light on the dash.

6. Lane departure warning

If you go off the line, the car will beep to tell you get back into the lane.

7. Boot automation

Press the button and it will open or close on its own.

8. Hooter

The hooter alarm can be accessible from the key directly. So if you cannot find where the car is parked, you can manually initiate it and simply follow the sound.

9. Theme

The theme colour of the dash/speed screen can be changed to green, blue or a classic look. Customize your screen the way you want it.

10. Heated Seats

Automated heat seating that works on its own if it gets too cold.

Volvo is all about safety and that what attracts me to this brand, my next post will go into more detail about this. Learn about how Volvo is designed around you and your family: www.volvocars.com.

I’ve always loved volvos. We had a cross country for awhile and then downsized. Maybe when I’m all grown up again, 🙂

I have always heard that Volvo’s were always one of the safest cars out there. I really like the options that you showed. Wish I could afford one, but my beater van will have to do until then. 🙂
