15 must have products for pregnancy

When I fell pregnant, there were certain items that was a MUST for me. Today I will be sharing my top 15 items. Please note this is in no specific order.

1. Comfortable Shoes

I practically lived in flats throughout my pregnancy because I had swollen feet. Comfortable shoes are a must, unless you want to be like Kim K wearing heels with swollen feet. Cinnamon has a great range of shoes which are expensive but totally worth it! Each pair of Cinnamons is hand-made.

2. Extra length leg leggings

I love leggings, they are very comfortable for me. Yummy Mummy Maternity has one especially for pregnant women – making it easier to wear with your baby bump. You can use this in winter or summer.

3. Camisole

Hermanna Rush introduced an amazing camisole which can be used as a sports or feeding bra. This equals long lasting multi-use camisole. I absolutely love it! I’m busy reviewing it, works so well for me with Kitana.

4. Bio oil

One thing I wanted to avoid during pregnancy was stretch marks. I used Bio Oil everyday on my stomach. I’m not sure if it was the bio oil or just my good jeans but I don’t have any stretch marks on my stomach. The place that I didn’t use bio oil (thighs) ended up getting stretch marks.

5. Pregnancy sleeping pillow

One of thee best investments I made while been pregnant was buying a sleeping pillow. Vije was comfy but this was better with the big belly. You need to be comfy and this helped me a lot. Cushi has a great range of pillows.

6. Belly Belt

This was one of the first products on my mind when I went pregnancy shopping. Something to carry my big belly and make me feel comfortable. Woolworths has one which I think is great, this belly band is built to support your baby bump, and is ideal for getting maximum mileage out of your pre-pregnancy clothes.

7. Organic Cotton Comfort Panty

Trust me, you need good underwear and Carriwell has done a great job with their product. Organic cotton is perfect for delicate and sensitive areas. These panties can be worn under the tummy during pregnancy and as regular panties after birth with comfort being their entire focus through design.

8. Comfortable Pajamas

Trying to sleep with a big belly can be difficult at times, its good to sleep in something light and comfortable. Annabella has an amazing range! Beautiful sleepwear that is perfect for pregnancy, a must have for your hospital stay and a comfortable addition to your post pregnancy wardrobe. Pyjamas and nightdresses that allow you to breastfeed in style.

9. 12 in 1 dress

Who says you can’t be pregnant and look hot?! Koco Bino has a 12 in 1 Maternity Dress which I think is a must have! Dresses are comfy when you pregnant even in winter. You can always add a jacket or legging under if you get too cold. I practically lived in dresses when I was pregnant.

10. Massage Candle

Most Pregnant woman end up getting back pain and I was one of them. Spa-Valous has lovely scented candles which can be used on baby too.

True back pain occurs when ligaments (the tough, flexible tissues that connect your bones), muscles, discs and joints become strained. The strain can be caused by poor posture, bad lifting technique, weak or tight muscles or injury. If you suffer from this, you are likely to have had it before becoming pregnant.

Massage: this soothes tired, aching muscles. Lean forwards over the back of a chair or lie on your side. Ask your partner to gently massage your lower back and the muscles that run either side of your spine. A trained massage therapist, your midwife or a physiotherapist may be able to help you further.http://www.babycentre.co.uk/a536387/back-pain-in-pregnancy#ixzz2uGS8ndf9

I bought 3 pairs of pants/jeans and about 5 maternity shirts. I didn’t want to spend a lot on clothes I would only be wearing for 18 months of my life. Actually less because I didn’t show until about 5 months, so only 8 months or so of my entire life.

I think pregnant women should consider only wearing flats and maybe rubber shoes. Heels may look glamorous and beautiful but it would be fine to say bye to them in the nine-month period.

I definitely love the belly band. I was able to wear my pre-pregnancy clothes that were a little bit larger when I used the belly band. Then I didn’t have to go out and buy a whole bunch of new maternity clothes. The pregnancy pillow or a body pillow is a great idea too. I still sleep with mine and my baby is 10 months old!
