Everyone gives you suggestions when you fall pregnant on what you should and should not buy but I guess only after you have your baby you realise what you actually need. Every baby is different but some products make it convenient for you as a mom.
My Top 5:
1. I wish I bought a mobile cot.
Mobile cots are so easy to push around the house, it’s easy to move baby wherever you are and it’s perfect for a mom who just had a c-section and wants baby closeby. Stokke has listened to moms and launched a brilliant product which still has me drooling for 2 years.
Four beds in one.
Stokke® Sleepi is an evolving bed that grows with your child from 0 to approx. 3 years and with the additional Junior Extension Kit up to approx. 10 years. It expands to accommodate the changing needs – and sizes – of the growing child, while maintaining a comforting familiarity with its distinctive oval shape. Once your baby reaches the curious climbing stage, you can remove one side of the bed for easy access, and to boost feelings of freedom and independence.
2. I wish I bought a book or consulted someone about sleep.
Yes, planning and preparing before your baby arrives is important and a schedule is even more important. Every mom has sleepless nights and sometimes we get so used to it that we think its normal.
Pikanini offers you a service to help you create a schedule which works for your family. Read about their sleep tips for babies here.
3. I wish I bought a nursing chair.
I guess we as moms sometimes forget how important it is for us to be comfortable while feeding especially at 3 in the morning. A good chair is a must in your baby’s nursery.

4. I wish I bought sleeping bags.
I bought Kitana the Puckababy gogo and one just wasn’t enough especially in winter. It’s good to swaddle a newborn or keep them in a sleeping bag. The Clever Little Monkey SleepSacs have a silky soft 100% bamboo fabric lining that is naturally anti-bacterial and absorbs 60% more moisture than cotton. This combined with a high tech anti-bacterial Amicor filling helps keep your baby’s exposure to air-borne allergens below the levels that can cause sensitivity and trigger conditions such as asthma and eczema.
Unique features include a zipped wide open front for easy night nappy changes with a minimum disturbance, a soft chin guard to prevent rubbing and zip-on sleeves for added warmth on colder nights.

5. I wish I bought a nursing cover for public places.
This is a life saver if you breastfeeding in public.
