Most babies and toddlers can’t go a whole day without getting messy – whether that be food spills, dirt, paint, or diaper explosions. When it comes time to clean up it’s best to reach for many of the newer safer, and all-natural soaps.

These formulations will gently clean your baby without irritating their sensitive skin with toxic chemicals, or cause excess harm to our natural environment.

Here are a handful of products for babies that are formulated with health and wellness in mind:

1. Ultra Calming Lavender Bubble Bath from the Honest Company

Honest baby products

The Honest Company, co-founded by Jessica Alba in 2011, makes a wide range of baby products from diapers to lotions. They also carry mother care products as well. Their ultra calming line of baby and child shampoos, conditioners, body washes, and lotions are certified cruelty-free and also made without synthetic fragrances, dyes, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), parabens, formaldehyde carriers, MEA, DEA, TEA, petrochemicals, or many other common allergens.

Also, because of their strong social responsibility efforts every Honest Company purchase also helps fund research and training that assists in the healthy development of children ages zero to three.

Where to buy: You can find these products online or at your local Target, Whole Foods, or a dozen other locations. Expect to pay around $11.95 for a 12 oz. bottle.

2. Eco Kid Daily Tonic Leave-In Conditioner

Lice are one of those things that no parent wants to deal with, let alone admit that they need help with. We all know that an ounce of protection is worth a pound of cure, but when lice strike they need to be dealt with quickly – and for that the Eco Kid lice bomb is your best bet.

However, their nurturing hair tonic and leave-in conditioner is designed for daily use and lice prevention. It is great for maintaining shape, minimizing frizz, and limiting fly away hairs that lice love to use to transfer. It smells nice to humans but repels lice. It also helps remove knots and tangles.

Made in Australia this daily tonic is 100% natural and 82.59% organic. Some of the repelling scents and oils include plants native to Australia including; Passion Flower (Passiflora Edulis), Buriti (Mauritia flexuosa), Eucalyptus Globulus, Peppermint (Mentha Piperita), and a dozen other natural ingredients.

Where to buy: Available through the Eco Kids website or a variety of other online retailers, expect to pay around $24.95 for a 500ml spray bottle.

3. Baby Shampoo and Body Wash from Earth Mama Angel Baby

Earth Mama Angel Baby makes natural, certified organic baby shampoo and body wash from castile soap, soothing Calendula, and essential oils of Vanilla and Sweet Orange. This gentle wash has eliminated many common toxic ingredients and detergents found in other children’s washes; sodium lauryl sulfate, all artificial preservatives, parabens, phenoxyethanol, and phthalates. Be aware, however, that this is not a “no tear” product and may irritate your child’s eyes while it gets them squeaky clean.

Where to buy: You can find this product from Earth Mama Angel Baby or Amazon. Expect to pay roughly $4.99 for a 50ml bottle or $39.99 for a liter of the stuff.

4. Acure Organics Yummy Baby 4-in-1 Foamer

Acure is a family owned and operated company that uses plant and food-based ingredients in all their formulations. They are also certified cruelty-free so you can rest easy knowing that their products are not tested on animals.

This four-in-one formula acts as a shampoo, baby wash, bubble bath, and hand soap. It’s tested free of most nasty chemicals including; parabens, sulphates, artificial fragrances, dyes, and hormone disruptors. Natural organic ingredients include Aloe, Cucumber, Chamomile, Oat, and Safflower seed, Jojoba seed, and Coconut oils.

Where to buy: You can purchase directly from the Acure website or other online retailers. Expect to pay 4.99 for a 16 oz. foaming soap container of the mix.

Do keep in mind that many of these products, because of their natural oils and ingredients, should be kept out of the eyes and mouth. They do, however, do a great job of keeping germs, muck, and bugs at bay – ensuring your baby’s clean, naturally sweet-smelling, and safe.
