Looking for an easy dessert that is healthy (well kind of) and something that the entire family can enjoy? 😉
The 5-minute non-bake cheesecake is an easy recipe that is absolutely delicious. It only needs 4 ingredients! Can you believe it?
I really didn’t think this would work until I tried it for myself yesterday. I love that it is not too sweet and doesn’t have any complicated steps.
It’s perfect for the busy mom who has limited time in the kitchen and for the mom who is keen on trying something different.
What you need:
1L Yoghurt – I used the granadilla flavour from NutriDay.
Do you know the benefits of yoghurt?
Yoghurt is made from a combination of milk and live cultures that makes this product unique. In addition to calcium and protein, NutriDay yoghurt is a source of Vitamins A, B, D & E, essential nutrients needed by your body every day. The South African Department of Health recognises dairy products as being an essential part of a balanced diet and recommends as part of the Food Based Dietary Guidelines that milk, maas or yoghurt should be eaten every day.
1 tin condensed milk
1 packet tennis biscuit
About 2 tablespoons melted butter to bind the base together.
Step 1:
- Crush the tennis biscuit for the base.
Tip: Use a rolling-pin to crush it down quicker.
Step 2:
- Melt the butter and pour it over the biscuit.
- Mix well until it starts binding together. Spread until it is evened out.
Step 3:
- Mix the yoghurt and condensed milk together in a bowl.
- Heat in the microwave for 2 minutes.
Step 4:
- Take the mixture out, mix quickly and put back in the microwave for another 2 minutes.
- Pour the mixture over the tennis biscuit base.
I added granadilla pulp on top for extra flavour.
Step 5:
- Put the cheesecake in the fridge to cool down.
I kept mine overnight but you don’t have to leave it in for so long.
Step 6:
Enjoy!
A loyal reader – Chelanay shared the 4-minute cheesecake recipe on her Facebook profile. After trying it, I realised it takes a little longer than 4-minutes to make. 😉 I’m not sure who the original creator of the recipe is but thank you Chelanay for sharing! <3
Many say it is best to try the recipe with plain yoghurt first and some even call it a yoghurt tart. All I know is … that it is delicious and fool-proof.
Definitely, want to try it with the mixed berry yoghurt next.
