Clarins helped brighten up my travels!

It’s been a long crazy month filled with so many emotions and adventure! I can’t believe my holiday is already over! Honestly, it felt as if I was on the amazing race show – travelling from one city to another – except I was laden with lots of luggage and a jetlagged toddler. This and the time difference made for an interesting adventure…

Clarins

It was extremely hard sticking to a routine. There were days when I passed out without even taking off my makeup – which is so not like me. I’m such a perfectionist when it comes to skincare routine but I’ve learnt that while travelling, sometimes you just have to go with the flow.

Sometimes we only have time for the essentials – especially when you have to deal with a grumpy toddler who wants to fly home just to eat porridge (it took her a while to get used to the food there).

Clarins

Travel is dehydrating! It’s so important to carry skincare products in your carry-on luggage.

You need products that will keep you moisturized throughout the trip – even when you spend 22 hours on the plane!

Clarins

Clarins Bright Plus range was the solution for me. It helped brighten up my days when I felt like I didn’t have the energy to explore anymore.

The range I received included:

Bright Plus Brightening Hydrating Day Lotion

Bright Plus Tri-Intensive Brightening Serum

Bright Plus Brightening Repairing Night Cream

I was a bit nervous trying out a new product during travel but after researching the range I knew it could benefit my skin more than hurt it.

I admit, I haven’t used the night cream every single night – that’s because of overwhelming schedules but I’ve been consistent with my morning routine.

Waking up tired was a norm for me. I know that I looked like a zombie during the first couple of days. Jetlag can get intense. On the first day that we arrived I passed out with a cup of tea in my hand, to be rudely awakened from my slumber in a shock when it spilled all over me and the bedding. I can only thank God that it was not hot!

I needed a product that would help wake me up in the mornings and make me look like I was ready to take on the city! Well, I was… just with dark circles and an uneven skin tone.

Clarins

The Clarins Bright Plus Hydrating Day Lotion was food for my skin; it helped keep my skin moisturized and protected it against UV rays but the cherry on top was the Bright Plus Tri-Intensive Brightening Serum which gave me a “glow” every day.

I skyped my mom daily to chat to my son and find out how everything at home was. Almost every day she used to tell me that America was agreeing with me because my skin was looking amazing. At first, it didn’t trigger that it might be the product working – but after a couple days of using it, I realized that the “glow” was becoming permanent.

Clarins brightening serum rebalances the 3 dimensions of a perfect complexion – contrast, color, and luminosity – for even, glowing skin.

How?

The serum’s main active ingredient is Acerola – a delicious cherry-like fruit which has one of the highest contents of vitamin C.Bright Plus Tri-Intensive Brightening Serum

Did you know?

Vitamin C is a crucial component in collagen, which means that your body can heal itself faster with repairing cells, blood vessels, organs, and tissues from illness or injury.

Acerola has many health benefits including helping boost your Immune System. Clarins research team has made a breakthrough; findings concluded that Acerola fruit can precisely target uneven areas and limit hyperpigmentation. The Acerola seed also helps enhance cell oxygenation for healthier, more luminous skin.

Other active ingredients include sandspurry and Alchemilla which help control skin pigmentation and rebalance skin colour.

What I love?

I’ve been using the product for weeks now and I simply love the feeling of applying the serum on my skin! It’s a runny milky lotion filled with a soothing scent.

Clarins

It absorbs quickly into the skin and keeps it looking luminous throughout the day.

Clarins products generally smell amazing but the scent of this serum was just so refreshing especially on the plane when I was surrounded by smelly feet. Every time I applied the product on I felt relaxed (the smell of products always do this to me – hence my love of spa treatments!)

Results thus far?

For me, the big one has been glowing skin and the texture of my skin.

My skin feels smooth and I do feel like my skin tone is getting even. The serum works well with the Bright Plus Brightening Hydrating Day Lotion and Bright Plus Brightening Repairing Night Cream – which I’ve been using more often now that I am more settled and almost back into my regular routine.

Clarins

Travelling can be tough on your skin; take a few minutes in the day to spoil your skin by massaging in the right product then put on those comfy shoes and take on the city!

Happy Travels!

I have used some Clarins products in the past – it’s been years. I had a great experience with them. I have not tried this line. Might have to. Sounds amazing.

I need to try out their hydrating lotion. Living in Florida I feel like the constant sun is always drying out my skin and nothing has really helped to hydrate it yet.

Been to Florida recently, I know what you mean. 😉 Beautiful city.

I don’t use a night cream. I probably should start doing that since I’m inching closer to 40. I have been using coconut oil scrub on my face the last year. It has helped quite a bit.

Since getting pregnant with my daughter, my skin has taken a turn for the worst. I need to try something that will work for me.

I’ve read so many good reviews about Clarins and almost everyone who tried this, raved about this good skincare product. Long hour flight really sucks all the moisture in our skin, it’s great that Clarins worked for you and a lotto women too.
