Holiday Spirit?

I cannot believe we back to Monday again! Seems like yesterday was friday.. Well I guess being a stay at home mom, you forget the days. What a start to the weekend it ..Waking up on Friday and hearing about Nelson Mandela was just heart breaking, even though we all knew it was going to happen sooner or later, it still hurt! When I went on twitter and found out the news, my eyes immediately filled up with tears. I will have a post dedicated to him and what he means to me and my family. Rest in Peace Madiba, you will always be remembered.

So next monday we leave for our holiday to Durban! Very excited but scared about traveling with a toddler who does not like her car seat. I use the iPad to distract her for her to sit there.. I know what you thinking.. Yeah not good at all. I guess its my fault, I did not really travel much with her when she was smaller so she never had time to get used to the car seat. If you have any suggestions for me, please let me know 🙂 Anyway talking about that holiday.. Yes I am very excited, I think I need that break especially to get away from the daily routine. Cannot wait to take Kitana to the beach and let her put those tiny feet in the sand. I already got her the ‘famous’ spade and bucket set which she already seems to love.

Yesterday we went to Monte Casino for the so called Xmas expo.. Wasn’t really to my liking..Not many exhibitors and besides for Santa and the Snow machine, nothing else screamed out Christmas.

I expected much more but anyway it ended up being worth it because we bought Kitana a sand box! Yippy yaay 🙂 Well I hope she likes it and I went to Milky Lane yum 😛 ..It was a good day out.

I feel the Christmas spirit is slowing fading away.. I remember how exciting it use to be for me when I was a child. I was born in Durban, every year my parents use to take me to workshop to see the Christmas lights. Im not sure if they still do that? Would be nice to have something like that here in Jhb. A real fantasy world! I know I would love it 🙂

Thats all for now, chat soon 🙂 byeeeee
