Kids Emporium Bryanston recently opened their doors in Bryanston shopping centre.
The store has many of the popular baby brands which are also available at any other Kids Emporium store nationwide however they do exclusively sell one toy brand that I think you might want to get your hands on!
About Kids Emporium:
Kids Emporium now has over 29 stores nationwide and over 200 suppliers and can be found in all major South African cities.
The Kids Emporium brand prides itself on providing access to parents to quality, on-trend and internationally acclaimed products for themselves and their baby.
Kids Emporium ensures that they carry only the best products in the industry and is gearing up for international expansion.
WHAT MAKES Kids Emporium DIFFERENT?
Kids Emporium is the largest chain of children’s boutiques in South Africa. They are constant, cutting edge and strive to be the first to stock the latest innovative and great quality local and international products.
I think what really makes them stand out is that they offer a full décor service to help you design your baby or child’s room and you can expect great customer service at any of their stores. KE will compile a mood board with ideas for you to set up your nursery or kids room, using products that KE sells.
Meet the Mompreneur who owns Kids Emporium Bryanston:
Kids Emporium Bryanston is owned by Mompreneur Charn Garbers who loves running in her spare time. Spending time with her family makes her very happy.
Charn is the ideal Mompreneur who has come from a high-end corporate environment. After having her son, Eyan (now 6) and daughter, Nina (now 3) she opted to combine a number of her passions namely business and children and looks forward to running her own Kids Emporium store. She says she will be 100% hands-on in the business and is looking forward to playing in the retail space.
Charn says the hardest part of running her own business is knowing when to be hands-on and when to let go.
Her top tips for balancing work life and home life is:
One should focus on time management and prioritising issues daily. Do not leave things for the last minute and having an awesome support structure is so important.
Kids Emporium Bryanston started trading on 6 April thus they are still brand new however with many events coming up at the store, I can predict that it might become very busy soon.
You can also expect some good deals at the store. Currently, they are running a Mother’s Day special. 20% off all maternity wear and a 5% discount for demo prams.
What really caught my attention at this store was the MyBtoys.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfvKbWnk_ko
I’ve never seen or heard about the brand before. When I saw it, I immediately fell in love with the brand mainly because of the design of their products.
MyBtoys believe that they don’t need to spend a lot of time thinking about how things are supposed to be. Instead, they create toys that inspire individuality.
The designs don’t line up with mathematical precision.
The look, feel and function is inspired by the world around us. By our children’s faces. Our dreams. Our own childhoods. Our travels. By Peruvian textiles and New England foliage. By a pretty bar of soap that gave us a moment of delight.
The difference in their packaging goes way beyond the surface. They scrutinize every piece to ensure its impact on our children’s world is as light as possible.
- Minimizing.
- Using recycled materials.
- Packaging toys in bags you’ll love to reuse.
- Designing boxes to become pretty trays to hold tiny treasures.
- Even making some packages reversible to become gift wrap.
- Their inks are soy-based and our varnishes water-based.
My kids were spoilt by the KE Bryanston team, so we got to play around with 3 products from the My B toys range.
Kids Emporium mainly stocks the musical instruments from the My B Toys range as they cover a wider age range and are both fun and educational. They also have a large range of bath toys which won me the Mommy of the year award at home with my sons.
