Recently my husband and I attended the Mall of Africa opening thanks to Cotton On Kids South Africa. It was a crazy day but I enjoyed every minute of it!
It was like we went on the amazing race!
The brand invited me to spend the day at the new shopping mall and shop till I drop at their new store which is currently the largest one in the world!
I love shopping for my kids so I didn’t need to think twice about this opportunity! Wait… I think every mom loves shopping for their kids, right?
I knew I had to purchase a few items for our upcoming trip to the U.S for Kitana but I also wanted to spoil my son Kiaan since he looks absolutely gorgeous in Cotton On Kids clothing.
If there’s anything I learned thus far from being a mom of two… is that you just have to make sure everything is equal.
I’ve been loyal to the brand for years – I’ve mentioned a bit about it in my previous post.
Why do I love shopping at Cotton On Kids?
1. Quality
Cotton On Kids is affordable compared to other big brands in my country.
The quality of their items makes every purchase worth it!
2. Design
My daughter loves her colors and bling. Cotton On Kids provides the props she needs for her little imaginative mind – sending both my kids on an adventure every time they put on a piece of clothing.
I still remember the first tutu dress I bought for Kitana from the store – every time she wore it, she blushed and her face lit up. It made her feel like a ballerina (she loves ballet).
The girl’s range is huge but I simply love the boys range! There’re so many pieces of clothing for boys that I can relate to and I know it makes my husband happy too. 😉
3. Experience
I feel like many brands can learn from Cotton On when it comes to experience in stores. The kids section has so much to offer and doesn’t necessarily push you to purchase!

The store will have a variety to offer including activities and surprises for your kids throughout the year (Only at Mall of Africa store):
- Face painting
- Balloon characters
- Bubble guns
- Stickers and Tattoos in their aprons
- Hopscotch
- Foosball/soccer table
The Mall of Africa opening day was chaos (I’m sure you heard all about it), I’ve never seen so many people at a shopping mall before. I was picked up and dropped off back home by UberBLACK so traffic and parking were not really an issue for me.
Vije and I decided to leave the kids at home because we overheard on the news how crazy it was. Shopping with two kids would have been a nightmare, I am so glad I left them at home! We took advantage of Cotton On’s 30 % off sale and watched a movie together at the new Ster-Kinekor IMAX to end the eventful day.
Thank you, Cotton On Kids for making me feel so special and giving me this opportunity. I had a wonderful experienced and already visited the store twice already after launch day.
Check out their new winter range available in store and you might score yourself a good deal too! 😉
INTRODUCING COSY CHARACTERS:
The Cotton On KIDS BEAR essentials will be brought to life this May with the launch of the new Critters range, featuring fun prints and 3D critter details across KIDS and BABY while still maintaining the same great quality and price that Moms and Dads love.
There is plenty of fun to be had with a critter to suit every little personality. Moms and Dads can let their inner child run wild with plenty of cosy characters to choose from including bears, foxes and cats as well as a few little monsters. The fresh neutral pallet boasts vanilla whites, pastel pinks, soft and graphite greys bringing a touch of magic with pops of colour and gold foil highlights.
Happy Shopping! I’d love to know about your experience with the brand.
