Movies at home with M-Net

The holidays are almost over but that doesn’t mean movie time is over… 😉 well that’s what M-Net thinks when they decided to spoil us with a movie everyday at 4pm!

To be honest, I’m a movie freak! It seems like Kitana is following in my foot steps because she can watch movies one after thee other (of course I don’t allow that everyday).

From next week, my little girl will be going to school so it’s no more regular visits to the big screen instead we will be catching up on our favorites with M-Net channel 105.

Everyday can be a movie day with a big bowl of popcorn and a refreshing drink, thanks to M-Net. Movies is the perfect way to relax and unwind with family and friends. We spent half of our holidays catching up on old and new movies.

If you missed my post about the awesome M-Net Movies Family activation last month, you also missed out on some really cool arts and crafts! Luckily, M-Net Movies Family loves parents so much; they’ve set up a dedicated Pinterest page filled with fun activities to keep little hands busy.

mnet pinterest

The best part about it is that their boards are themed around the 4pm Family movie being aired every day, so you and your child can enjoy your creations while watching the movie. If your little ones are crazy about minions, Scooby Doo, or Scrat, you need to make 4pm a permanent movie time on channel 105.

This week’s line up includes one of my favorite movies: Wall-E.

Wall-E

WALL-E, short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-class, is the last robot left on Earth. He spends his days tidying up the planet, one piece of garbage at a time. But during 700 years, WALL-E has developed a personality, and he’s more than a little lonely. Then he spots EVE (Elissa Knight), a sleek and shapely probe sent back to Earth on a scanning mission. Smitten WALL-E embarks on his greatest adventure yet when he follows EVE across the galaxy. Source: Wikipedia

Wall-E got excellent ratings by movie reviewers and is still one of the “must watch” movies for Disney.

You can also catch up on:

  • Despicable Me 2
  • The Croods
  • Chicken Run
  • Adventures in Zambezia
  • Planes
  • Sammy’s Adventure
  • Astro Boy

I always try to watch films with my little guy but he has the attention span of a nat! 🙂 He seems to love Toy Story though so I try to stick that on whenever I can. I must show him Wall-E – that film made me cry 🙂

It sounds like they have a decent line up of movies. We love having family movie nights here at home with the kids.

I can’t stop thinking about that popcorn…mmm such a great snack. Ha anyhow I tend to get sucked in to all these cartoon movies because while they are for kids, they tend to have lots of hidden adult humor and I love that!

I don’t have young kids at home to share movies with yet. My grandbabies are only 2 months old. I love to watch movies myself though. There is nothing better than curling up on the couch and just zoning out and watching a movie.

That popcorn! Ahhh! It’s all I can think about now! I love Wall-E too, in fact I bought me and the mister mugs of Wall-E and Eve for Christmas. We love watching anything with the boys – but it’s usually Disney!

Our kiddos are a little older (10, 12 and 14) so they are totally into the Pirates of the Caribbean series and some of the other teen angst trilogies out there.

We watch so many movies with our children! Lately we’ve been rewatching Turbo about a million times a day and they don’t seem to want that to end anytime soon.

This sounds amazing and we always have a family movie night every week which sometimes it can be 3 nights a week. My kids are actually young men now though but we still watch movies like Wall-E which I so love. Thanks for sharing.

I used to love cuddling up with my son when he was little and watching a movie. His favorite was always Lion King. I think I could recite half that movie because we watched it so frequently.

The only movies my 4 year old will sit through are Frozen and Despicable Me. I WISH I could get her to watch feature length stuff once in a while. She would rather watch Calliou (annoying!) or Astroblast!
