I attempt to bake when I can – mostly because I’m too lazy to leave the house for just one pancake but the truth is baking can get time-consuming especially if you are pregnant and have a 3-year old running around like me.
To me, baking was like experimenting in a science lab. I remember once I tried a chocolate fondant recipe and it ended up being a flopdant… Hahaha. I just could never get it right until now.
I’ve always admired those master chef moms who have the perfect freshly baked cookies coming out of the oven… and today I figured out their secret!
SO my secret is …. Sasko Quick Treats.
Thanks to Sasko Flour, baking with a toddler has become simpler, less time-consuming and definitely a confidence booster.
Baking is now a Sunday afternoon tradition in the Vijendranath household. The entire family gets together and creates delicious treats in the kitchen but we are still experimenting. How you may ask?
Well…did you know you can make a Swiss Roll with Sasko Quick Treats Pancake Mix? I never realised how versatile the products are until recently when I started following their Facebook page which is inspiring me to be adventurous in the kitchen.
Why spend hundreds of rands getting little ingredients together to create a Swiss Roll when you can buy a packet of pancake mix and create the same delicious treat saving you loads of time.
Sasko is sharing the goodness with families around South Africa.
It’s exciting to know that brands are pushing the boundaries and trying to make it easier for us moms. Thanks to Sasko Quick Treats, Christmas this year will be all about divine baked goods. I’m even thinking about creating parcels for friends and family!
I used to be the mom that hated being in the kitchen but now I wait for an opportunity to create something magical that even my toddler can assist with.
Last week Kitana and I decided to tackle two packs of Sasko Quick Treats. Kitana loves cookies and I love muffins so we thought this would be perfect to start with.
Firstly, I love that I don’t need to rush out to the store to buy extra ingredients. Everything needed is already in my cupboard and secondly it’s amazing to know that I only need 3 ingredients to create cookies which often includes the Sasko Quick Treats pack. I tried making cookies before and it was horrible but this time around it was perfect. You would think I bought them from the local bakery.
The muffin mixes (Chocolate and Bran) are still my favourite. I think it’s one of those products I will always buy extra of and keep in my cupboard for those days when I get unexpected visitors. Why serve something from a box when you can surprise your guests with freshly baked muffins? Especially on a winter’s day.
So moms, if you think you can’t bake… I challenge you to buy a pack of Sasko’s Quick Treats from your local store and experiment. I want to know if you feel the same as me.
