Sleepover party for girls and dolls

All kids love spending time with their friends, if they could they would love to live together and play all day every day. Since this is not something that can easily be done, parents and children have found a compromise that suits them all: sleepovers for friends and their toys! For one family, this means party all night, and for the other one this means that the home will be a bit quieter. When the girls come over, there is only one thing for mom and dad to do: join the party!

Occupy the kitchen

Kids in the kitchen usually equal a messy business, but that is just another reason why it is so much fun. You can turn this messy affair into something nice and useful: you can all bake cookies or pizza! Cookies for them and their dolls’ tea party they can throw afterwards is a great idea. They will be able to play with flour, sugar chocolate and dough and afterwards to eat what they had made. They will feel important, and what is more, since they will all participate in the creation of these delicious snacks, there will be no picky eaters.

Fairies in the woods

Girls adore all things magical, and fairies are simply the best if you ask them. So why not turn them all into fairies for a night? You can find a few tutus in a shop or even make them yourself, take out flower girl gowns from the back of your wardrobe, bake some cookies and help girls go on an adventure deep in the dark forest. Tickle their imagination, allow them to pretend your couch and chairs are trees, that floor is lava, and that curtains hide passages to secret worlds. They will have the time of their lives and won’t stop talking about it for weeks to come.

Dark is not scary

Kids can be afraid of the dark, so night-light and open doors are usually a must at these parties, but you can teach them that dark is not that scary if they are protected. Get plants of glow-in-the-dark items and have fun in the dim light. When the light goes out, turn in a single black light and then their glowing bracelets, tees, makeup, and toys will cast enough light for them to feel safe. They will be excited and decide to decorate their dolls with glow-in-the-dark makeup or accessories. You will probably see matching nail polish and bracelets on girls and their dolls alike, and it goes to show the strength of friendship and affection they feel for their toys.

PJs and memories

A bunch of girls with their teddy bears and dolls having a time of their lives is definitely something worth remembering. Make a photo booth out of plain curtains and blankets and have them all wear something silly like feather boas, sunglasses, and a dozen of plastic necklaces, and take their pictures. Other parents would love to have these photos to, and when girls grow up they will look at the photos and cherish those happy memories forever.

For girls and their toys sleepovers are super fun, but for parents they can be stressful and exhausting. You know how tricky it can be to discipline your own child, let alone several other kids! However, if you prepare in advance and plan a nice party, there is no reason why you cannot enjoy the sleepover party along with kids.
