Allure Cosmetics sponsored our first event –  Toddlers and Tea. We spoilt the mums with little gift bags from Esse.

I was so excited when Rebecca from Allure Cosmetics told me that I will be reviewing Esse’s cleanser. Ive heard so many good reviews about this brand and was eager to try it!

Esse is certified organic by Ecocert France. They use wild sourced African plants that offer excellent free-radical protection. In addition the unique natural preservative system ensures the products are biodegradable and free of parabens, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrance and synthetic colourants. The products are packaged in recycled glass. Esse is also accredited by Beauty Without Cruelty and registered with the Vegan Society.

In short, Esse is an ethical brand that is focused on the professional skincare market.

Esse cleanser:

The first thing that I noticed other than the beautiful bottle is the smooth texture and fragrance of the cleanser.

Being used to the softer ‘rose’ fragrance cleansers meant that the stronger fragrance did have an impact on me. The first time I used it I felt that my skin felt dry and tight. This perception however definitely changed as I felt that after a few uses my skin was clearer and that there is a difference. My skin also does not feel tight anymore – it leaves my skin feeling fresher and I know love the scent. Skin feels clean. The gel itself is a smooth gliding effect and you can feel the natural active ingredients at work without leaving the harsher chemical effects. My hubby has commented that the break out that I had been experiencing has also cleared up.

Would I use Esse again – definitely! I believe in natural products – after all God does know best and I think that Esse has done a great job of combining the right ingredients for the right effect.

My overall experience with Esse: Great, it just takes time before you can see the result.
Would I buy Esse again? Yes
Would I recommend it? Yes

They have a variety of products from Light Body Moisturiser to Omega Rich Moisturisers.

You can visit their website and the best part is you can order online too.
