Toddlers and Tea

On the 1st of February we hosted our first YBI event at home. We were lucky enough to get amazing sponsors who came on board to help us make the event a success! We decided to keep it simple and small as we wanted to research and get feedback from the parents before we hosted bigger events.

The event started around 2:30pm, parents were welcomed with a variety of teas and introduced to various activities which we had planned for the kids. The mingling and networking started immediately. I created a special table where we displayed many of our sponsored goodies. Parents were introduced to the products and could take time out to test what they liked.

Our kids activities included a Toddlers pool, Sandbox, Touch and feel pool (Jelly, flour, rice, pasta etc) and of course the playroom. Many of the toddlers spent their first half in the pool which I purchased from Toys R Us. The kids loved this as it came with games and the size was perfect for toddlers.

For the parents we had a variety of teas from The Tea Merchant, Product samples from Allure Cosmetics (Esse and Oh-lief), Baby products from Step South (Ubbi and Close Parent), Cupcakes from Inspired cakes, Candles from Spa-Valous Massage Candles, Clothing from Korango and Hermanna Rush.

The ladies got spoilt with Esse goodie bags, Korango Kid clothing vouchers and The Tea Merchant samples.

The Tea Merchant has something special for you this Valentines Day. Purchase anything on their online store and receive a 10% discount off orders equal or above R500. How awesome is that? Valid until 22 February. Just type in the discount code: youbabyandi when you checking out. http://www.theteamerchant.co.za/

We had photo booth props which the families could use to take out funky pics. This was very exciting for the kids and parents. Everyone had a great time enjoying various flavours of tea and indulging in the yummy cupcakes. Many parents had questions regarding our showcased products and luckily, my knowledge and review of the products helped me give my honest opinion.

Overall it was a success! A BIG Thank you to my lovely sponsors, you made this event a HUGE success! I love you guys and of course your products 😉

Moms at the event suggested we have a pamper event next so they can have some much needed ME time and guess what?!

Hands on Retreat Spa in Craighall will be hosting our next event 09 March. If you would like to attend please subscribe as we will be sending VIP invitations to our subscribers before opening it to the public and it will be on first come first serve basis. You will be in for a treat!
